I find this “immediate hybrid” very interesting……I am looking at having your exampled $250,000 in the fall of 2014 as a result of a combination of some whole life cash values, IRA’s and 403 retirement accounts……have been wondering what might be available to begin receiving immediate income at that time, in that my wife will be retiring and we need something to replace a part of her income……I will be 67 at that time and she will be 65……this sounds just right.
