Mike sorry you got some bad advice, timing the market is rarely successful. We like Fidelity too but be aware that they to have a bias and without real **guarantees even the most well meaning company or advisor can not protect you from broad unexpected market declines. Wishing you the best!

Dewey, thank you for your constructive criticism.
You are the first person we have heard this from in three years! Eric and I have a lot of fun doing these videos. We are not forcing or trying to entertain; this is truly us – unscripted. If we tried to be more serious it would be contrived and forced. Yes, these are serious subjects but they are also boring to most and our lighthearted levity and a little sarcasm seems to have been received well over the last three years.
We hope you will tolerate our levity. We will take your recommendations under consideration though. Thank You!

This is serious stuff and while forced laughter between Dick and Eric, might make you feel you’re just having a comfortable conversation with each other, if what you are forcing laughter on isn’t actually funny all it actually does is minimize the seriousness of the subject matter. I would suggest that you focus on delivering the expertise you guys have as consultants and spend less time trying to be entertaining.

A good friend of my nephew who said he could do a lot better than the 4% I was getting in my 401K plan at work. I was disabled and on Heavy duty Pain Medication and I thought he was a person I could trust. He sold me a variable annuity with Jackson that was fine with $100,000. It was tied to the S&P and was doing well. I told that @ 20% pull the plug and move to the fixed 4%. It shot up to 20% and he did nothing I was 63 years old and needed this money for age 65 retirement. The REIT with Behringer and Harvard Multi Family REIT paid 6% annually which he said would never go down. I did go down and can’t sell it till it goes public. In less than a year it dropped from 6% to 3.5% in less than a year. To get out I would have to forfeit 20% of my investment. I have a lump sum pension that I will take in March 2015. I have decided to have Fidelity who administrates my pension to invest the money to get us an income stream that will last a minimum of 20 years. I trust no one with my future. Fidelity are non commissioned and are there to take care of our needs.
